Jeanfield Swifts U10 v BSYFC U10
Another great morning for our U10 Girls. With enough players available to field different teams each half (plus some mini matches for the subs!), it was fantastic to see everyone getting plenty football and rising to the challenge of Tier 2.
The girls continue to improve every week, growing in confidence, belief and teamwork… they’re stronger than they think!
Players of the Week
Caoimhe – excellent defensive effort in the first half
Leona – tireless energy and drive in midfield in the second half
A big well done also to Evie and Sadie for stepping up in goals.
Coach Aimee had some lovely feedback:
“Can I also just say how incredibly lucky we are to get to spend every Saturday with such a great bunch of girls. It was brilliant getting to spend some time with them all during our little matches on the side. They are all hilarious and I’ve not laughed so much in a long time Feeling very grateful that football is bringing together all these girls from different schools”

Bravehearts hit top gear in Dundee.
After the frustration of last week’s draw in Fife, our Bravehearts were determined to put things right… and what followed was arguably one of the most complete performances this group has ever produced.
An away trip to face our old friends Dundee East offered the perfect opportunity to respond, and from the first whistle the girls looked focused, organised and hungry.
The Bravehearts’ now familiar 4-2-3-1 system was working beautifully, with the girls moving the ball confidently, pressing aggressively and creating passing triangles all over the pitch.
It didn’t take long for the breakthrough…
⚽ Nicole fired home an early opener after great work from Katie.
Dundee East briefly levelled against the run of play, but the girls never panicked.
⚽ Nicole restored the lead before half time after a lovely passing move.
The second half was simply outstanding.
⚽ Captain Bella made it 1-3 with a superb lob.
⚽⚽⚽⚽ Nicole then absolutely ran riot, completing an incredible six-goal haul with a series of clinical finishes.
⚽ Alba, back from injury, added a superb long-range finish of her own after another dominant midfield display.
From back to front the girls were exceptional:
Heidi looked assured whenever called upon
Ruby, Eilidh, Emeri & Amelia K were rock solid
Alba and Bella controlled the midfield battle
Katie, Lexie, Ellie & Nicole caused chaos in attack
A scintillating second-half display and a fully deserved victory.
Player of the Week: Bella
A captain’s performance—led by example, drove the team on, controlled midfield and scored a superb goal.
A massive well done to all the girls… if this is what they can do away from home, we can’t wait to see what happens back on the bowling-green surfaces of Home Street.
