A busy and memorable weekend for our small-sided teams as players, coaches and families made the short trip to the fantastic Annual Crieff JFC Football Festival, with hundreds of young players enjoying two brilliant days of football… and plenty Scottish weather thrown in for good measure.
2016s (U10s)
A fantastic day for the 2016s, who faced lots of new teams and new challenges throughout the festival.
It was a tough start, but the players stuck together, showed real resilience and grew
stronger as the day went on. There was some excellent passing, strong defending and plenty of goals as confidence grew with every game.
A special mention to Zac for stepping into goals to allow Frank some time outfield — a brilliant example of teamwork.
The biggest highlight of all…
Fair Play Award Winners!
A massive congratulations to the whole squad for the way they represented themselves, each other and the club throughout the day. Coaches couldn’t have been prouder.
2015s (U11s)
A brilliant day for both 2015 teams, who produced some fantastic football against strong opposition throughout the festival.
Lots of tired legs by the end of the day but plenty smiles too!
Great to welcome two of our U10 Girls, Sadie and Ailsa, helping out alongside Leona.
No Player of the Week this time… because every single player played their part brilliantly.
2017s (U9s)
An excellent festival experience for the 2017s. playing no fewer than seven matches across the day.
The team faced some very strong opposition but more than held their own, showing great attitude, teamwork and a real willingness to learn. Communication, movement and positioning improved as the day went on.
Player of the Week: Bailey
A superb all-round display, playing in every position, including a spectacular spell in goals, as well as adding multiple goals of his own.
2018s (U8s)
Our newest team enjoyed their Crieff Festival experience and every player played with huge enthusiasm.
Jaxon never stopped running, covering every blade of grass and was brilliant in goals. Duncan showed great skill with some clever dragbacks before smashing home a brilliant long-range goal. Charlie passed and defended superbly, while Logan twisted and turned his way past defenders throughout the day and fought for every ball.
A huge thank you again to Sadie, Ailsa and Leona for helping the team.
2014s (U11s)
Fair City v BSYFC 2014
Away from festival action, the 7s were in league action in Perth and produced another excellent performance in a high-energy match.
Breadalbane started quickly with some excellent passing and movement, with Bailey grabbing two goals, Ruaraidh adding another and Luke also on the scoresheet.
Fair City fought back strongly in the second half scoring a few goals of their own, but the team defended brilliantly under pressure in an even contest.
Players of the Match: Lewis & Luke – outstanding performances from both.
Another fantastic weekend of football, development and memories made across the club. Huge thanks to all our coaches, volunteers and parents for making it possible and also everyone at Crieff Juniors FootballClub for a fantastically well run event.
