East Region U10s
Auchtermuchty U10s v BSYFC U10s
Reduced numbers due to some of Girls at a dance competition - Eilish, Emilia, & Evie all danced brilliantly whilst receiving regular updates about how the team were doing!
A fantastic performance from everyone today ⚽ They worked tirelessly from start to finish. Their teamwork, attitude and confidence in tackling, passing and shooting continues to improve week by week – they were a joy to coach.
Player of the Week: Charlie – consistent improvement, volunteered in goals making some great saves, and showed real confidence in tackles.
SWF East Region U16 Friendly
Dryburgh Athletic 2–2 BSYFC
Bravehearts recovery in the City of Discovery
Before kick-off there was drama in the camp… the mysterious disappearance of one of the squad’s new pink footballs (amnesty still open!).
On the pitch, the girls produced a strong performance in a competitive friendly against a developing Dryburgh side. Playing uphill in the first half, Nicole opened the scoring with a powerful finish after great work down the wing.
Despite controlling much of the play, a long-range free kick saw Dryburgh level before half-time.
The second half followed a similar pattern, with Breadalbane playing the better football but falling behind to a well-worked goal. The response was immediate, with Lexie racing through and finishing brilliantly to make it 2–2.
The Bravehearts pushed hard for a winner, creating several chances, with Nicole going closest late on, only denied by a superb save.
Overall, a strong performance with plenty of positives, showing good character to come from behind and continue improving.
Player of the Week: Ally – outstanding from start to finish, strong in the tackle, full of energy and supported her teammates brilliantly.
Great performances across the Girls Pathway again this weekend.
