Fair City U10s v BSYFC U10s
What an amazing game! Coaches Stuart and Aimee were incredibly proud of the girls’ performance on Saturday morning in Perth.
One of the challenges has been bringing together girls from different schools who don’t always train together, but you would never have known that today. The teamwork and communication were fantastic throughout.
It was very much a game of two halves, with the girls dominating the first half. Leona scored ⚽ within the first 30 seconds! followed by goals from Evie and Petra, who grabbed her first goal. The girls kept working hard for the entire match and showed great determination, even as tired legs started to kick in towards the end.
Player of the Match: Evie – stepping out of her comfort zone in goals to play striker, linking up brilliantly with her teammates and scoring some great goals.
U12 East Region Grading
BSYFC P-P Auchtermuchty Bellevue Colts
Match cancelled due to frost on 3G.
U16 East Region League Cup
BSYFC 0–9 Dundee United Community FC
A tough test for the Bravehearts against last season’s Scottish Cup, League and League Cup winners.
The girls worked hard to make things difficult for a very strong Dundee United side and had their moments in the game. Heidi produced several excellent saves, including one where the post came off worse as she kept a goal-bound effort out.
Games like this provide valuable learning experiences, and the team will take plenty from the match moving forward. As always, the squad stuck together and showed great spirit.
Player of the Week: Katie – put in a huge shift off the ball and constantly tried to get things going whenever she was in possession.
