DDYFA U14 League
BSYFC 0–4 Letham
Another very encouraging performance from the 2012s against a strong Letham side and a big improvement from the earlier meeting this season. Letham moved the ball well, but Breadalbane kept a solid defensive shape which made it difficult for the visitors to break through.
Chances were limited, although Logan came close early in the second half and Michael almost found the net late on. Letham scored twice in each half to take the win, but the team can take confidence from a competitive display.
Thanks to Milo and Logan for volunteering in goal, and to Oliver for stepping in to play outfield.
Strong performances across the team, with Bella and Robbie also impressing.
Player of the Week: Danny – excellent display at centre-back and great to see him back in the squad.
After a run of matches against the top three teams in the league, the squad can take plenty of positives from how well they have competed.
DDYFA U16 League 2
Arbroath Harp 5–0 BSYFC
A tough afternoon away to Arbroath Harp on a wet and sloping pitch. The home side started strongly and used the conditions well, applying constant pressure with their pace and physicality.
Defenders Finlay, Gojus and Ryan battled well throughout, supported by a solid performance in goal from Kris. In midfield there were good individual moments from David, Robert and Rhys, while Thomas and John worked hard on the wings.
Breadalbane created a few opportunities through Ru G and Robert, but struggled to find the final pass, while Harp continued to press and added further goals as the match progressed.
Despite the result, the team kept battling throughout in difficult conditions.
Player of the Match: Kris – excellent performance in goal with several fine saves and strong positioning.

Fair City 2012 v BSYFC 2013
A rescheduled fixture in Perth took place on a very heavy pitch.
Breadalbane took time to settle into a 4-5-1 formation and trailed 3-1 at half time, but a much stronger second half performance saw the team become more aggressive in winning the ball and improving their communication and passing.
With Oliver absent, Ivan stepped into goal and produced several excellent saves while distributing the ball calmly.
The comeback began when Max created space in the box and finished well. A great assist from Brooklyn allowed Wilf to score at the back post, before Brooklyn added two goals himself following some strong attacking play and combination football.
A very positive second-half performance showed the team’s progress and determination.
Players of the Match:
Brooklyn – excellent midfield performance with two goals and two assists.
Ivan – superb performance in goal.
Thanks to Fair City 2012 for getting the match played despite the tough conditions.
