Another brilliant day of football for our girls, with strong performances, teamwork and plenty of goals across the age groups.
U16 Girls – Friendly
Auchtermuchty 4–6 BSYFC
The Bravehearts travelled to Cupar for a friendly against Auchtermuchty and produced an exciting, high-scoring performance. After a slow start saw Auchtermuchty take the lead, the girls quickly responded with great passing football and attacking play.
Katie opened the scoring for BSYFC before Nicole, Lexie and others combined well to push the team ahead. Strong midfield driving runs from Eilidh helped create further chances as Nicole added more goals to extend the lead to 6–2.
Auchtermuchty battled back late on, but solid defending and good game management from the Bravehearts saw the girls secure a deserved 6–4 victory.
Player of the Week: Lexie outstanding pace, direct running and attacking play, causing problems for the defence all game.
Special mentions to Heidi for key saves in goal and Mel for her determination to continue playing after taking a heavy knock.
