A brilliant second week of the girls’ season — fantastic teamwork, loads of fun and plenty of goals ⚽⚽

SWF East U16 League Cup

BSYFC 9 v 0 Kirriemuir

With injuries and illness leaving us with a bare 11, it was a huge effort from the squad to go the full match without subs.

From the first whistle the Bravehearts took the game to Kirrie. Having struggled physically against them in the past, the girls were determined to prove a point — and they did.

Early goals settled us, and the football on display was excellent, with lovely 1-2s and real passing combinations. Communication — something we’ve been working on — was brilliant to hear, with constant encouragement and players demanding the ball.

A real team performance, showing the belief that we win, lose or draw together.

U12 Girls

BSYFC v St Andrews & East Neuk

Another strong display with some great football played especially going forward with some clinical finishing on display. The midfield combined brilliantly, and the wingers always looked dangerous.

Player of the Match: Lillybeth – slotted into the team superbly and wasn’t afraid to get stuck in. Well done!

U10 Girls

Kirriemuir Thistle v BSYFC

The girls grew into the match brilliantly and worked hard from start to finish with no subs. Some excellent passing and confident finishing throughout.

Every player should be proud of their effort.

Player of the Week: Caoimhe – fantastic work rate, always looking for the ball and rewarded with some cracking goals.

Great start to the season all round ⚽
