BSYFC U14 Girls 6–6 Kirriemuir U14 Girls | Sat 6th Dec
With league fixtures uncertain, the U14 Bravehearts welcomed Kirrie Thistle CFC to the astro for a friendly — and what followed was a breathless, end-to-end goal fest to close the season in unforgettable style. ⚽
The girls started brightly and opened the scoring from a well delivered corner from Eilidh, but Kirrie struck back with two superb long-range finishes. The game swung wildly at pace, with Kirriemuir leading 4–2 at half-time in a match played at full throttle.
The second half summed up everything about this Bravehearts side — urgency, belief and relentless attacking football. A beautifully worked move saw Lexie and Bella combine down the left before setting up Nicole to score. Despite conceding a few frustrating goals, the girls never stopped pushing.
With seconds remaining, Bella smashed home a dramatic late equaliser to make it 6–6, sparking huge celebrations on and off the pitch - a beautiful moment as the Coaches found each others arms. A fitting final goal to end this season, from the captain and top scorer after some neat passing down the left from Ellie and Nicole.
It wasn’t a flawless performance — defensive concentration is an area to improve — but the character, creativity and attacking quality on show was outstanding and a true reflection of how far this team has come.
