Another excellent weekend of football for our BSYFC girls’ teams — full of teamwork and great goal keeping as our keepers produced Player of the Match performances at every age group.
U10 Girls
BSYFC vs Dryburgh Athletic Maroons
A fantastic match from start to finish and arguably the best performance of the season so far!
The girls showed brilliant teamwork, energy, and determination — everyone worked hard for each other and it really showed in their play.
Evie was outstanding in goal early on, making some inspired saves to keep the team in the game, while Alisa scored a stunning long-range strike.
Player of the Match: Evie – brave, alert, and crucial saves at key moments!
A huge well done to the whole team — fantastic progress and a joy to watch.
U12 Girls
BSYFC vs Blairgowrie
Another great effort from the U12s today. The girls played with real enthusiasm and spirit against a strong Blairgowrie side.
Player of the Match: Eliza – unfazed by the full-size goals and pulled off some superb saves throughout!
WELL DONE girls!
U14 Girls vs BSYFC 2012 (Training Match)
With no competitive fixture and an eye on preparing for 11-a-side football, the girls took on our 2012s in a well-supported in-house training game.
Both sides started brightly, moving the ball well and creating chances. As the game wore on, the 2012s’ composure in possession made the difference, while the U14s showed great physicality and moved the ball well.
It was played in terrific spirit — full of positive play encouragement from both teams. A stray pass caught the referee off guard, but all was quickly forgiven!
U14 Player of the Match: Heidi – made several brilliant saves and showed real confidence between the posts.
Lots of positives to take and valuable lessons for both squads going forward.
