SYFA U17 Scottish Cup 2nd rd

Breadalbane 2009 4-1 United Football Academy 2009

U17s in Scottish Cup action as we welcomed United FA from Cambuslang to a Aberfeldy. Pitch was in immaculate condition and the game didnt dissapoint.

A fairly even first half where the visitors took the lead with a rocket strike.

Breadalbane replied instantly with Struan smashing it low and hard past the advancing keeper!

Half Time 1-1

A change of formation to gain more control of the middle and moving the ball quicker helped the home side dominate the second half.

The chances would now come thick and fast Struan again providing a clinical finish following a superb through ball by Theo. The same combination doubled our advantage.

Theo would add a well deserved 4th and ensure the team were safely into the 3rd rd draw.

Huge thanks to Kerry and The Black Watch Inn for sorting the hospitality after the match.

POTM - Kienan. First game and a rock at centre half, adding some welcome aggression and pace. His use of the ball was superb. Well done lad!

Deserving a special mention in this one. Struan, growing in to the centre forward role and taking all the advice on board.. always a handful up top and fully deserved his hattrick today, taking his goals superbly. Theo, half time sub and changed the game with some much needed composure creating two and scoring one.

All the best to United FA for the rest of the season.

SYFA U16 Scottish Cup 2nd Rd

Arbroath Harp 2010 4-2 Breadalbane 2010

A tough one to take as the U16s exited the Scottish Cup. Team played good football, creating plenty chances without taking them.

A slow start by the visitors meant they were second to everything and fell two goals behind early on giving them an uphill task. The team then applied themselves as their effort and quality of play improved.

PoTM Ollie with a couple of goals and powerful runs showing why he was top goal scorer for Crieff last season. Well done!

DDYFA U14 League

Broughty Jaguars 2012 2-0 Breadalbane 2012

U14s travelled to Dundee in confident mood having trained well during the week. They started well, spending much of the first 20mins in the final third and it felt like a goal was coming.

Roddy saw his shot pushed onto to the bar followed by a couple of chances that went just wide. Broughty came back into the game and got a scrappy goal just before half time.

A fairly even contest in the second half and Breadalbane only denied an equaliser by the post again after a powerful shot from Logan.

It would be Broughty who would get the next goal of the game and effectively kill the game off.

The team demonstrated again they can play really well for spells with the challenge to maintain that intensity for the full 70mins.

POTM - Roddy celebrated his birthday by playing a stormer ⚽ in midfield. Well done!

A big thanks to Mark & Donna for inviting everyone to Ryze to help celebrate Roddy's birthday.
