Breadalbane 2009 2-0 Arbroath Youth FC 2009 Blues

Arbroath Youth Football Club, last season's 2nd division champions, were the visitors to Aberfeldy.

Despite never fully getting going, Breadalbane felt in control for the majority of the match. They created some good opportunities and opened the scoring after a superb run from Caleb evaded the offside trap. He took a perfectly floated ball from Struan in his stride and made no mistake.

Half Time 1-0

The away side looked the more dangerous in the opening exchanges of the second half and were only denied by a couple of fine saves by our keeper.

Breadalbane extended their lead with Theo finding the net, brilliantly re-directing Ben's initial strike from the edge of the box.

We would see out the remainder of the match comfortably despite a needless sending off for Ben which sees him miss the next match.

PoTM was Finlay who put in a very good shift in the middle of the park today, always composed on the ball and linked the play well. Ivan, Thomas and Struan also deserving a special mention in this one.

Arbroath Youth FC Blues 1-6 Breadalbane 2010

An away fixture with a number of defenders missing. The team never fully fired on all cylinders and squandered a number of chances despite going into the break with a two goal lead. Ollie and Cieran who were a powerful force at upfront both scoring.

The back line looked more assured in the second half, using Joel to shift the ball about with confidence.

A further four goals would come with Ceiran adding another couple. The wingbacks heavily involved in the final 2 goals, both beautifully worked. Ru M racing down the right, crossed with a perfect ball for Finlay B to power home. after a clever run inside.

Ru G turned provider for Ru M to volley home and sign off on a PoTM performance. A strong defensive display with some key tackles but also read the game well and got forward.

Forfar Athletic 2012 4-2 Breadalbane 2012

A strong wind in the first half helped the visitors enjoy most of the territory and possession.

Carl found the back of the net with a low and powerful strike into the bottom left from a free kick.

Further pressure led to a penalty, coolly taken by Logan, low and hard into the bottom right corner.

A counter attack saw Forfar pull one back which lifted their heads. Playing into the wind second half  proved difficult for Breadalbane but they still created chances yet it was Forfar who scored three unanswered goals, two of which came late-on.

Goalkeeper Ryan was brave to beat their big striker to a 50-50 ball but got clattered in the process and had to come off.

Brooklyn and Oliver did well while Carl was absolutely superb in centre mid today and PoTM. Well done! Another good performance but a frustrating result.

 Jeanfield 2013 6v6 BSYFC 2013 (Wed 27th)

What a midweek game at a rain soaked Riverside in Perth !!

Breadalbane opened the scoring only to end up going 5-2 behind. They then fought like lions to produce a stunning fightback to lead  6-5  only for Jeanfield to equalise with 10 mins to go and a share of the spoils.

PoTM went to Wilf for his all round display.

Coach Matthijs then turned Chef and provided a tasty post match Lasagne which went down a treat.
