Pitlochry Festival is a hit

04/09/2025

After an action-packed weekend of football, the curtain has come down on this year’s BQI Insurance Pitlochry Football Festival.

Originally scheduled for June but postponed due to thunderstorms, the Festival returned in style, welcoming 700 players and coaches from 67 teams across Scotland to Pitlochry.

They all created a fantastic atmosphere, for a true celebration of grassroots football. ⚽

Grounds team – Stevie & Davie, with their young assistants Simmy, Cookie & Bridey.

The much-loved Breadalbane 'Frank & Ronald' the Boars Mascots - aka Ollie, Logan, Brooklyn & Ethan.

Entertainment & services – Bruce Entertainment for food and fun, Highland Scoops, Kitguy7, Rotary Club of Pitlochry  for smooth car parking, and Stewart & Mary Sherriffs of Pitlochry Scouts for additional first aid cover. Crieff Juniors FootballClub, Pitlochry High School and Pitlochry Pavilion User Groups for supporting this event.

The Festival once again proved why it is such a highlight in the Scottish Youth FA - SYFA calendar: a spectacular setting, competitive but friendly matches, and a strong sense of community spirit.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back on 13/14th June next year for another weekend of football and fun !!
