Breadalbane 2009 5-5 Crossford Utd 2009
A cracking game for the fans as Crossford Utd from Fife visited Home St. An end to end encounter that saw a well contested draw in a game that neither team deserved to lose.
The away side started the game sharper, dominating possession but Breadalbane would race in to a two goal lead. A couple of very good headed goals from Theo and Struan, both off great deliveries by Liam.
The next 15 minutes that followed were all Crossfords as they found 3 goals to take the lead 2-3.
With the last kick of the ball before the break, Caleb was on hand to provide the composed finish in to the far corner.
Half Time.. 3-3
Breadalbane dominated the early exchanges in the second half. Creating four very good chances without converting.
Crossford, having rode their luck now found themselves again on top.. 2 goals in a 10 minute period.
To their credit our lads didnt down tools and were awarded a life line when Caleb was pulled back in the area for a clear penalty. He stepped up and calmly slotted home!.. 4-5!
The equaliser would come in 90th minute, some terific work down the right from Ben saw Struan presented with the opportunity to grab the headlines and he made calmly slotted home with his left foot.
Full Time 5-5. A fitting end to a great game that neither team deserved to lose.
MOTM
New signing Aaron top performance at full back today. Was superb in training playing the same role on Thursday night and offered us a good threat down the right. Some great deliveries into the box and a solid defensive display. Struan, Euan and Jayden deserving a special mention in this one.
