GIRLS PATHWAY SAT 7th JUN & 31st MAY

Sat 7th Jun

SWF East Region U14

9v9 League

Monifieth U14 5 v 1 BSYFC U14

Another hard shift today girls. A squad of ten on a rock hard pitch in the hot sun with players out. The Bravehearts bravely battled through illness and injury. Despite a feeling that the Girls are running on empty, the Coaches asked they all keep going which they did !

Breadalbane would open the scoring after a strong defensive header from Brook found Ellie who played a fantastic through ball to Bella who expertly despatched the ball into the corner.

Monifeith turned things round helped by the break of the ball in the box from corners. The home side would stretch their lead while Breadalbane went close with efforts from Holly and Erika.

Player of the Week was Heidi for some outstanding saves and moments of bravery.

The team now have a free week before their final fixture v East Fife (H) before the summer holidays.

SWF East Region U10

7v7

 BSYFC U10 v Fair City U10

A cracking game with a well taken hattrick from Emelia and a rare midfield sighting from Eilish saw her push on and grab a goal also, amazing..

Lots of tired legs to show how hard everyone had worked. Star Player this week goes to birthday girl Elsie Great effort throughout and rapid improvements at every game, keep it going.

Sat 31st May

SWF East Region U14

9v9 League

BSYFC U14 1-3 Letham U14

Girls and Coaches were a bit deflated after this match but on reflection have not too much to be disappointed with.

They dominated the first half and, but for some outstanding saves by an inspired Letham keeper would've found the net on a number of occasions.

Playing the ball out from the back with Alba regularly finding Ellie and then Mel provided lots of attacking opportunities down the right. Despite Breadalbane creating plenty chances, it was Letham who would take the lead. Parity was restored after Bella finished neatly after a well weighted pass from Ellie. The home side struggled to avoid being caught offside but will have learnt a lot from that.

In the second half, the visitors came more into the game as the home side had a tendency to take a extra touch. How Breadalbane never added to their tally remains a mystery as their corner count reached double figures while any luck eluded them. Letham took the lead from a quick counter at a corner and then again with the final kick off the ball.

Great to see the Girls encourage each other and stick together as a team.

Player of the Match was Holly who worked hard, led the attack and delivery of the ball was first class. The young ref also had a very good game.

SWF East Region U12 9v9 League

Carnoustie Panmure U12 v BSYFC U12

A superb effort by the girls who fought incredibly hard for each other. Great communication and passing really coming together against some hard teams.

Player of the Match came out swinging from the first minute and continued for the rest of the game - Olive well done. ⚽️
