DDYFA U15 League
Maryfield Utd Blacks 2010 3 v 0 BSYFC 2010
A tough run of recent fixtures where the U15s have competed well, so they felt coming in to this fixture they would hold their own on a blustery pitch at Fairmuir Park.
Disappointingly, it was a lethargic start. Moments of skill let down by a poor final touch or a wayward pass. The visitors were muscled off the ball by Maryfield and their communication
seemed lost as they failed to clear or play the easy pass, gifting the opposition the ball far too often.
Maryfield moved the ball well. Their first goal was a follow up strike after a brilliant save by Joel.
They doubled their lead with a tap in from a poorly dealt corner. The third came from another corner taken in the wind to the far post and bundled in.
A few signs of previous form. Cieran battled away up front. Finlay H did a fine job running the lines and competing well. Rhys was often there to clear the lines. Player of the Match went to Isaac - always keeping his head and battling for every ball, some clever footwork and neat passing.
PKYFA U12 League
Letham 2013 v BSYFC 2013
Little to chose between the sides in the first half despite Breadalbane not being able the high tempo passing rhythmn from the previus week.
Letham would take the lead from a neat finish before the visitors passed up the opportunity to equalise from the spot.
In the second half Breadalbane made life difficult by not keeping their shape while Letham grew in confidence and added to their goal tally.
Still plenty positives to take from the match not least the defensive performances of Kacper and Nestor who was Player of the Match for an assured display.
