GIRLS PATHWAY - SAT 17th May
SWF East Region U14 9v9 League
Kirriemuir Thistle U13 3v8 BSYFC U14
U14s have been in good form of late and a small squad travelled to face Kirriemuir Thistle having played their older U14 counterparts the previous week.
The Girls have made a habit of starting slowly and falling behind in games but not today. They raced to a 2-0 lead. The first a trademark Lexie goal ⚽ bursting down the right before smashing it into the far corner. The second from Brooke ⚽ as she perfectly met an in swinging corner from Holly. A debut goal from Phoebe gave the visitors a 3-1 halftime lead.
Given the scorching conditions, Coach Jonathan asked the team to soak up pressure in the second half and hit on the break.
It certainly worked as Lexie fired in another trademark goal while Bella was pushed further forward and helped herself to four goals! The pick was a real thing of beauty. A reverse splitting pass from Ellie after she'd taken a ball out of the air from Brooke. Bella ran onto the pass and gave the move the finished it deserved!
A near impossible choice for PoTW but just pipping everyone was Mel. Chased every ball and every player. Her energy and enthusiasm and willingness to help her teammates and learn is a Coaches dream. Congratulations Mel.
A tough ask for Kirriemuir U13s competing against a team generally a year older - the same challenge our Bravehearts faced last season. It's clear Kirriemuir will be a real force next year.

Swifts Sambas U12 v BSYFC U12
Inverkeithing was the venue as our U12s travelled to face the Swifts Sambas.
As always, the Girls played some fantastic football in the sunshine.
PoTM proved another hard choice but this week, after working hard in goals first half followed up by some incredible runs up the pitch, it went to Eliza. Well done!

BSYFC U10s v Blue Brazil U10s
Breadalbane welcomed Blue Brazil from Cowdenbeath to a very warm and sunny Home St.
Both teams were excellent in some really tough conditions!
Playing against a very good Blue Brazil team, the girls stuck at it. They showed some great touches and pieces of skill across the pitch. Great teamwork with everyone giving their all and supporting each other. Fantastic to see everyone getting more confident and improving with each match.
POTM goes to Amelia for a really good performance, lots of running, some great attacks and showed up well in defence for the last third.
