GIRLS PATHWAY - SAT 4th May

East Region U10 7v7

Fair City U10s v BSYFC U10s

Energy sapping conditions but everyone played an important role.

Goalies did well dealing with any chances as Fair City got forward. A closely contested match with goals from Evie and Emelia, fantastic finishing.

Stand out Player this Week goes to Caoimhe. Midfield dynamite - never stopped running, great energy and made an impact throughout, well done.

SWF East Region U12 9v9 League

Arbroath U12 v BSYFC U12

A great shift on Saturday from all the girls! and well done parents after the long drive to Arbroath.

The opposition Coach even got in touch to say how wonderful all the Girls were.

A hard choice today for PoTM but Aurora worked tirelessly against a barrage of attacks well done.

SWF East Region U14 9v9 League

BSYFC U14s 6-6 Kirriemuir Thistle U14s

Bravehearts hosted our friends from Kirriemuir U14. A fixture that's always produced goals and been played in a great spirit.

Coach Jonathan is busy on the farm at this time  of year but sent  message reminding the girls to “ enjoy it  and let’s play our own game "

A bright start saw Kirrie forced into making saves and last ditch tackles. Despite creating chances, the hosts went into the break trailing a 1-4 thanks to some soft goals.

The halftime message was all about restarting. and they certainly hit the ground running with 3 quick goals. Lexie the provider and captain Bella there to apply the finishes.

Kirrie Thistle would edge a couple of goals ahead again however before Breadalbane replied. First through Holly picking up a loose ball with a great strike.

Secondly through Brooke who had ran herself into the ground in defense but came of the bench upfront for a final throw of the dice. She latched onto a though ball by Holly, muscled past 3 defenders and then unleashed a cannon of a shot for 6-6. ⚽

POTW was a hard one with great defensive performances from Brooke and Alba. Heidi in goals also made some great saves. Cracking goals from Bella and Holly too but the award  went to Lexie who was fantastic from the start always looking to get on the ball and with her lighting pace was a consistent threat, unlucky not to get on the scoresheet but she did had 4 assists.

Well done to all the girls for showing such great character in the second half.
